BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANISATION

The projects and activities of cultural promotion, in which Dante Alighieri of Wroclaw is involved, meet the need to increase and improve the services of cultural structures, to create a centre of excellence, which also allows to obtain the necessary qualifications and skills to the personal development of the city inhabitants. Thus improving the quality of the services offered by institutions and companies in the Lower Silesia region, of which Wroclaw is the capital.
In Wrocław, due to the strong cultural and commercial impulse, there is a constant demand for both Italian knowledge and advanced Italian language skills. For this reason the Dante Alighieri Society provides a point of support for those who decide to work in connection with the Italian area here in Poland, for whom it gives the opportunity to those who have interest in the Italian language and tradition, to have a constant exchange of information with Italians and Italian speakers and as well offers an important meeting point and place of integration for Italians in the city.
The attribution to Wroclaw of the title of European Capital of Culture for 2016 confirmed the potential of Dante Alighieri Society as a shared place for initiatives aimed at cultural promotion, at creating strong links with other structures and projects that will be lasting over time.
